MOLLY BLOOM fabrics are produced in mills around the world. Our first production run is cut from undyed 100% Cotton Herringbone from Cervotessile Spa with BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) Certified cotton. Cervotessile was founded in Northern Italy as a family business in 1915. In 2018, they were certified in environmentally friendly practices.

-
The now ubiquitous herringbone pattern is derived from the manner in which Roman bricks were laid and the name comes from its resemblance to the skeleton of a herring fish. Also known as broken twill weave, it was used in fatigue uniforms during and after World War II.

The herringbone pattern reflects the bone structure of a herring’s skeleton.

TRIMS

-
Our custom MOLLY BLOOM hardware is produced in Hong Kong at REVGRP, a vertical manufacturer of trims. Each plated, matte black piece is fabricated using a debossing or embossing process. The small “locker loop” label featured on the back of each garment was inspired by a vintage military sign found in Nashville, TN.
